The BLAST Premier Bounty 2026 Season 2 is underway, and one thing is conspicuously absent from the tournament’s structure: anything remotely related to crypto. 3DMAX Gaming defeated Magic in a Round of 32 best-of-three series on July 24, advancing to the next stage of the single-elimination bracket. The deciding map was Dust2.
What happened in the match
3DMAX, a veteran esports organization founded in 2009, fielded a roster of Graviti, Kursy, Lucky, Maka, and misutaaa against Magic’s lineup of AW, MaSvAl, mo0N, sFade8, and tenzy. The series went the full three maps before 3DMAX closed it out, earning the right to continue in the 32-team bracket.
BLAST Premier’s Bounty format allows winning teams to claim 50% of their defeated opponent’s bounty, with the remainder added to their own total, escalating the stakes as teams progress. The bounty system operates as a conventional prize overlay. The “tokens” referenced in the tournament context are loyalty points, not cryptocurrency. No smart contracts, no on-chain settlements, no NFT trophies.
BLAST Premier introduced the Bounty series format as a replacement for traditional group stages, streamlining the tournament into a single-elimination bracket of best-of-three matches.
