MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Robin Padilla’s former top aide Rudolf Philip Jurado on Tuesday confirmed his resignation as the senator’s chief of staff.
In a statement sent to the Inquirer, Jurado said he tendered his resignation as early as June 22, even before the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte began on July 6.

“My resignation was duly accepted by Senator Padilla, and my separation from the Office takes effect at the close of office hours on 31 July 2026,” Jurado wrote.
