MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck Burgos town in Surigao del Norte on Wednesday morning, July 29, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The tectonic quake occurred 34 kilometers (km) northeast of Burgos town at 8:39 a.m., with a recorded depth of 10 km, Phivolcs stated in its earthquake bulletin.
