A nine-year-old boy has been left fighting for his life after a crash in Birmingham.Police arrived at Masshouse Lane at the junction of Shannon Road in Kings Norton at around 5.55pm on Tuesday following a collision between two cars.A young boy was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.The two were taken to hospital to be looked over, West Midlands Police have said. The junction between Shannon Road and Masshouse Lane remains closed.The force is now appealing to anyone with information or anybody who may have witnessed the incident.Police said: 'We’re appealing for information following a serious collision in Birmingham earlier this evening (Tuesday).'We were called to Masshouse Lane at the junction of Shannon Road in Kings Norton at around 5.55pm to reports of a two-car collision.'A nine-year-old boy was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
