MANILA, Philippines — As chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ Business Advisory Council (Asean-BAC), businessman Jose Ma. Concepcion III stressed the need for a more inclusive and borderless digital economy in the region.
Asean’s digital transformation must create opportunities for everyone, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), women entrepreneurs, and other underrepresented sectors, Concepcion said.
The Go Negosyo founder made the call in a keynote speech at the Asean Tech Summit Manila 2026, which on Tuesday brought together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, technology leaders, and innovators from across Asean.
