The Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers (TARATDAC) on Monday (July 28, 2024’staged a protest at Dindigul Collectorate urging the authorities to fulfil their charter of demands.The members said the grievance redress meetings for differently abled persons should be conducted once every two months under the chairmanship of the Collector; and once every month under the chairmanship of the Sub-Collector or the Revenue Divisional Officer.They said the coordination committee meeting involving elected representatives should be conducted once in three months.Their other demands included issue of acknowledgement receipts for the petitions submitted by differently abled persons, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness of the restroom at the welfare office and inauguration of the newly constructed restroom with proper water supply facility.
