Differently abled persons staging a road blockade near the bus stand in Dindigul on Wednesday.

The Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers (TARATDAC) staged a protest against the implementation of the Vikshit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin (VB-G RAM G), on Wednesday in Dindigul.Over 100 TARATDAC members participated in the protest near the Dindigul Bus stand. They wore black shirts and black badges and also burnt copies of VB-G RAM G. They said the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme should be retained and should not be replaced with VB-G RAM G. Provision of 100 days of guaranteed employment for the differently-abled should be ensured, they said.They said employment opportunities for the differently-abled should not be denied and 100 days of work should be provided without any discrimination. The Central government should not reduce the funding for the scheme, they said. The TARATDAC members also staged a road blockade. The police personnel detained the protesters.
