Hush Security has raised $30 million in Series A funding as the company expands its identity-security platform to cover AI agents, an emerging area of enterprise risk as companies increasingly allow autonomous software to act inside sensitive systems.

Akamai Technologies joined the round as a strategic investor, alongside existing backers Battery Ventures and YL Ventures.

The new financing brings Hush’s total funding to $41 million, less than a year after the company emerged from stealth.

Hush focuses on securing non-human identities, a category that includes secrets, service accounts, machine identities and now AI agents.

The company says its platform gives enterprises a way to register AI agents, remove standing credentials and grant scoped just-in-time permissions when agents act across corporate systems.
