—NKS factory. A R$40 million (US$7.9 million) footwear plant in Cariré, Ceará, aims to produce 200,000 pairs monthly and employ 1,200 workers.
—MRS Calçados. A R$7.5 million (US$1.5 million) unit in Catunda, Ceará, is already operating and targets 4,000 pairs per day with 400 jobs.
