An investigation is underway after a MyCiTi bus caught fire at the station in Killarney.

The City said the bus has been destroyed and there is extensive damage to the station that will remain closed until further notice.

It said that depending on the damage to the station, it will likely take months, if not at least a year, to do the repairs that is expected to cost millions.

"It was reported shortly before 9am on July 27, that a 18m MyCiTi bus was on fire at the MyCiTi station in Killarney, along Potsdam Road, close to the intersection with Silverstone Road.
