Amnesty International said it had obtained photographs from the scene which it claimed showed the devastating impact of the attack on families in the community.
Global human rights organisation, the Amnesty International has condemned the killing of at least 30 people in a fresh attack by gunmen on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, describing the incident as another indication of the Nigerian authorities' failure to protect vulnerable communities.
In a statement issued on Monday, the human rights organisation said the attack occurred on Saturday night, alleging that dozens of residents who attempted to flee were chased into nearby bushes and killed by the attackers.
"Amnesty International strongly condemns killing of at least 30 people in an attack by gunmen last night on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Dozens of people who tried to escape the attackers were pursued into the bush and slaughtered," the organisation said.
