I’ve always been the type of person who likes to keep busy, so much so that I often have trouble relaxing. It’s become even more apparent in my adult life, thanks to things like working a full-time job, trying to be healthy, maintaining friendships and keeping the house clean. How am I supposed to sit down and relax when there’s always something on my to-do list waiting to be checked off?
Because I’ve been on the brink of burnout many times over the last few years, I try to prioritize self-care and do something relaxing at least once a week. That often looks like reading on my Kindle while commuting to work instead of checking emails or waking up early on Saturday mornings to take a hot yoga class. But ever since I discovered Sunday Club’s subscription last fall while looking for unique gift ideas, it’s been one of my favorite ways to relax. Here’s why I love it so much.
The best part about Sunday Club is that there are plenty of puzzles and games in each issue. The standard monthly issues have 12 pages of activities, and in each, you’ll usually get games like search and find, sudoku, crossword, word search, pictogram and word play, just to name a few. I’ve been really impressed with the assortment of puzzle types, and I especially appreciate the minis for when I’m short on time or just need the satisfaction of an easy win.
