Five South Central Railway (SCR) employees from the Secunderabad and Nanded divisions received the ‘Employee of the Month’ Safety Awards for June from General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Monday.The awardees represented various safety categories, including track maintainer, pointsman, senior technician and station master. Congratulating the employees, the General Manager commended their dedication and commitment to ensuring safe railway operations.Mr. Srivastava also reviewed the department-wise night inspections conducted by senior officers of the Engineering, Operating, Commercial, Electrical, and Signal & Telecommunications departments. He emphasised the need for heightened vigilance at Road Under Bridges (RUBs) prone to waterlogging durings monsoon.During the review, Divisional Railway Managers briefed him on precautionary measures being implemented across the zones, including the installation of barricades, deployment of round-the-clock watchmen and the sharing of photographs every four hours to ensure continuous monitoring and surveillance, according to a press release.
