The Madlanga Commission heard on Monday that IDAC chief investigator, Dylan Perumal has been discharged after being hospitalised over the weekend.
Uncertainty gripped the Madlanga Commission on Monday after Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) chief investigator Dylan Perumal was hospitalised over the weekend, preventing access to him over a certain investigation docket.
Advocate Andrea Johnson's lawyer, Apla Bodlani, told the commission that Perumal's hospitalisation prevented the legal team from consulting him.
"We were informed that he's not well. He was hospitalised during the course of the past weekend, so we also didn't have access to him," Bodlani said.
He added that information received on Sunday confirmed Perumal had since been discharged from the hospital.
