Four people have been killed.

An investigation into charges of murder and attempted murder has been launched by Eastern Cape police after a shooting earlier on Monday at the Hillwatch Informal Settlement in Kabah, Kariega.

The incident left four people dead.

Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana said: “It is alleged that at approximately 12:00, a suspect opened fire on a group of individuals. Four individuals with fatal gunshot wounds were discovered by members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) when they arrived at the scene.”

According to Gantana, the deceased include a 27-year-old male and three females between the ages of 18 and 31.
