Jenny Winchester was walking her labrador along Holbaai Beach when they came under attack from two dogs.
A local beach walk turned into a harrowing experience for a Melkbosstrand resident on Sunday when her dog, Spencer, was viciously attacked by three uncontrolled, off-leash dogs.
Jenny Winchester, who was walking her labrador retriever along Holbaai Beach, described the incident as an unprovoked and terrifying ordeal.
According to a formal police report filed following the incident, Winchester was walking back toward the parking area when she observed three dogs coming down from the dunes, heading toward the beach.
"I was concerned for our safety, and immediately attempted to move away, keeping Spencer on a leash and under close control," she said.
