MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made sure to mention Alex Eala in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 27, hoping that the international exploits of the tennis ace would inspire more Filipinos to pursue sports.
Eala has gained a major admirer in Marcos, who conferred the Presidential Citation on the 21-year-old star in a special homecoming reception at Malacañang exactly two weeks ago on July 13.
