A suspected attempt to smuggle heroin into Kenya was foiled at the Isebania One Stop Border Post (OSBP) in Migori County after a police sniffer dog detected the concealed drugs in a traveller's luggage.

In a viral video shared by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on X, the suspect, identified as a 29-year-old Taiwanese national Wang Hsiang-hui, is seen undergoing routine entry clearance after arriving from neighbouring Tanzania.

He stood alongside other foreign nationals.

The widely circulated clip, seen by TNX Africa, shows a trained drug-detection K9 suddenly stopping beside one of the suspect's bags, alerting its handler to the possible presence of narcotics.
