A 32-year-old South African woman has been arrested at Phuket International Airport after she was allegedly found with 16 kilograms of heroin hidden inside her luggage among seven bags of cat and dog food.
The discovery was made while the woman was apparently attempting to board a flight from Phuket to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda.
This is according to Phuket News, which stated that the arrest took place on June 11 by custom officers at the airport together with Sakhu Police and the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB).
According to the report, the drugs were concealed within the pet food packaging.
