Kwaito star L’vovo Derrango has opened up for the first time about the devastating stroke that almost claimed his life, revealing how the medical emergency left him fighting for survival, stripped him of his independence, and forced him to rebuild his life from scratch.

The award-winning musician, whose real name is Thokozani Ndlovu, said the stroke struck without warning while he was performing on stage, bringing his music career to an abrupt halt.

“I never imagined my life would change so suddenly,” Ndlovu said.

“There were days when I questioned whether I would ever stand on a stage again. But God gave me another chance, and I chose to fight every single day. If my story can inspire even one person not to give up, then every struggle has been worth it.”

Following the collapse, the musician was rushed to the hospital, where he spent weeks in the intensive care unit (ICU).
