Tourism Minister S. Rajesh Kumar on Saturday handed over offer letters to candidates selected in the job fair organised by Kanniyakumari District Employment and Career Guidance Centre and Tamil Nadu State Rural/Urban Livelihood Mission (Women’s project) in Nagercoil.Addressing the gathering, Mr. Rajesh Kumar said that at the job fair the departments not only facilitated employment opportunities but also provided career guidance, counselling and free skill development training to help the youth to enhance their employability. He noted that vacancies in various government departments are being filled without delay and that district-level job fairs are being organised regularly to create employment opportunities in the private sector for eligible candidates.The Minister congratulated the selected candidates and exhorted them upgrade their skills in their fields to reach greater heights in the future.A total of 2,112 job seekers participated in the job fair, of whom 482 candidates were selected by various companies.Kanniyakumari Collector M.
