The president also repeated his long-standing claim that he won the 2020 presidential election, despite losing to former President Joe Biden.
The United States President, Donald Trump, has jokingly suggested that he intends to seek a fourth term in office, despite the United States Constitution barring any president from being elected more than twice.
Trump made the remarks on Friday while addressing attendees at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C.
A video of the event, shared on X by an account identified as RapidResponse47, showed Trump wearing a red "Trump 2028" cap as he teased what he described as a major announcement.
"I'm pleased to announce my intention to, and this is somewhat of a scoop, my intention to run for a fourth term as President of the United States. I will be doing that. I will be having an official... It should be easy. I'm getting very good at running for president," Trump said, drawing laughter from the audience.
