A young man has been arrested on suspicion of raping two women in Rochdale.Police received two reports of sexual assault from victims nearly an hour and a half apart, which officers believe may be linked.At 6.15am, officers received a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted in Broadfield Park, and then a second report was received from a different woman being assaulted in Milnrow Memorial Park at 8.38am.Both women have said they did not know the man, and provided similar descriptions.Police are asking that anyone with information about the case get in touch. Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Willis said before the arrest: 'We have a robust investigation underway and are working at pace to identify and locate the man responsible.'Detectives are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry and we are committed to identifying whoever is responsible and bringing them to justice.
