A man has been charged with attempted rape after two women were allegedly attacked in parks. Greater Manchester Police received reports of sexual assault from both victims on Saturday morning, nearly an hour and a half apart.Harvey Symes, 23, described as a black British national, has been charged with two counts of attempted rape and making threats to kill.At 6.15am, officers received a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted in Broadfield Park.A second report was made by a different woman who alleged she had been assaulted in Milnrow Memorial Park at 8.38am.Symes, of Milnrow, will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Monday.Both women said they did not know the man and provided a similar description of the suspect, police said. Broadfield Park in Rochdale is picturedDetectives identified CCTV footage of a man matching the description in the Ko-Ko Lounge in Rochdale, which he was seen leaving at around 5am.Speaking before Symes' arrest, Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Willis said: 'You will see an increased police presence in Broadfield Park, Milnrow Memorial Park and Rochdale town centre over the coming days and throughout this evening.'Broadfield Park and Milnrow Memorial Park are located just over three miles away from each other.
