Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder who spent years dominating European football at Real Madrid and Manchester United, is about to suit up for Inter Miami CF. His visa has been approved, and he’s set to debut against CF Montréal on July 25, 2026.
Casemiro joined Inter Miami as a free agent, with the deal announced around July 22, 2026. His contract runs through the end of the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, with an option to extend until June 2029.
For context, this is a player who won five UEFA Champions League titles and previously transferred to Manchester United for a reported fee north of €70 million. Now he’s arriving in South Florida on a free transfer, joining a roster that already features Lionel Messi.
The move isn’t without controversy. LA Galaxy has filed a tampering allegation, claiming Inter Miami made improper contact with Casemiro. MLS is currently investigating the complaint.
