The former couple, who split in 2009, share children Junior and Princess Andre - with the latter landing her own ITV2 reality show, The Princess Diaries.‌According to reports, the Celebrity Big Brother winner, 48, made her debut in the first episode of the upcoming season, taking her kids on a glamping trip for her birthday.‌In a candid new interview to celebrate the upcoming third series, Princess opened up about the relationship her parents have now as they both separately filmed for the programme - which is set to be released on July 28.‌However, the 19-year-old was blunt when discussing whether the exes would ever appear on screen together, explaining: “To be honest, I don’t think that would happen anyway. I don’t think divorced parents would sit in a room and have a conversation, but it’s not to say it would never happen.”‌“The main thing is, it’s amicable. They’ve got a truce, but they’re not best friends and they don’t need to be,” Junior interjected. “The fact that they’re both in it is great because it’s our parents. We love them, and want everyone to be involved. But yeah, they don’t need to cross paths.”Despite this, his sibling insisted that her loved ones joining her in front of the camera made the show “more fun” for her to film.“It is way more fun for me... because I like having my family there. I guess it shows people they are calm - that yes, they’re not best friends but they don’t need to be,” she added to the Sun.‌Katie and Peter first met while taking part on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2004, with the world watching on as they fell in love in the Australian jungle. Following their return home, they tied the knot in a swanky wedding in 2005, and went on to begin a family together.But cracks soon began to appear and they eventually announced their split in 2009 - leading to years of animosity between the pair.In February, they released a joint statement, vowing to create a “calm and supporting” atmosphere for Junior and Princess. It read: “Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect.‌“We are both focused on creating a calm and supporting environment for our children. We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward.“We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is the start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.”‌Katie recently touched on their whirlwind marriage, and subsequent divorce, in her documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide - which was released earlier this month.Unpacking their former relationship, she described their bond as a “fairytale love story”, and said that it was a “dagger in her heart” when they went their separate ways.“They were the best times of my life without a doubt, until things went sour. I’d love to sit next to him and reminisce about all of it," she recalled. “It’s weird 22 years on to reflect back on it, from then, my head, soul, heart, body has been shaken, not right since.‌“I’ve never sat down with Pete from the moment we split up and spoke about that day, ever, never.“I think that’s what’s been eating me up the most because I haven’t been able to sit down and talk to him.”‌While the Mysterious Girl singer - who later moved on with wife Emily MacDonagh - declined to take part in the show, he issued a statement which appeared on screen during the four-part series.“I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess,” he said. “Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children.“I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future.”Article continues belowLike this story?
