SANTACO Gauteng and the Gauteng National Taxi Alliance met with MEC for Roads and Transport Kedibone Diale-Tlabela about provincial public transport matters.
The Gauteng Taxi Industry, represented by SANTACO Gauteng and the Gauteng National Taxi Alliance, held what it described as a constructive meeting on Thursday with Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Kedibone Diale-Tlabela to discuss provincial public transport matters.
Both parties openly shared their concerns and agreed to a follow-up meeting within 14 days to resolve outstanding issues in the interest of commuters and operators.
Commuters have been assured that taxi operations will continue as normal, with no service suspensions or route disruptions across the province.
Acknowledging that recent events might have led to uncertainty, the Gauteng Taxi Industry apologised for any concern or inconvenience caused.
