MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Storm Kiyapo (Noul) made landfall in Cagayan province’s Camiguin Island at 2:10 pm on Friday, July 24.

Camiguin Island — not to be confused with the island province of the same name in Northern Mindanao — is part of the Babuyan Group of Islands and under the municipality of Calayan.

By 4 pm on Friday, Kiyapo was already over the coastal waters of Calayan Island, another island belonging to the Babuyan group and Calayan town.
