US forces carried out a 13th consecutive night of airstrikes against targets in Iran as tensions between Washington and Tehran continued to escalate, while President Donald Trump signaled that an even larger military operation remains under consideration.
Speaking about the conflict, Trump said he is weighing a “massive attack” on Iran, arguing that the country has not “received enough pain yet.” He indicated that he is close to deciding whether to launch a new phase of major military operations, underscoring the continued pressure on Tehran after nearly two weeks of sustained US strikes.
According to Iranian media, overnight attacks targeted several locations across the country, with explosions reported in Khorramabad, Jask, Ahvaz, and the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.
Iranian reports said a US missile strike near Ahvaz killed four people and wounded five others. Additional strikes on Khorramabad and Bandar Abbas reportedly left two people injured in each city. The reported casualty figures have not been independently verified.
Iran responded with renewed warnings, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemning the US campaign and cautioning that continued military action would only deepen the conflict. He said that “mindless aggression” would force Trump to pay a “heavier price” for any future agreement aimed at ending the war.
