Ahead of Knockout Chaos 2 in Sandton this Saturday, Aquila Boxing Promotions (ABP) ambassador Kevin Lerena isn't afraid to put his money where his mouth is—encouraging fighters to hunt for early finishes.
“We want to pay out essentially R240,000 in bonuses for whoever wins in round one. We're not afraid to do that to enrich fighters and their teams, because boxing is a very hard sport,” said Lerena.
The inaugural Knockout Chaos event earlier this year introduced this lucrative incentive, rewarding fighters directly for stoppage victories. A maximum bonus of R30,000 is awarded for a first-round knockout, with the prize total decreasing with each subsequent round.
