KARACHI: K-Electric’s industrial feeders’ consumption reached a record high of 6.08 billion units in FY26, indicating consistent electricity supply as the national economy grew by 3.7pc.

Chief Executive Syed Muhammad Taha said that the utility has provided industries with loadshedding-exempt power supply since 2013 and would continue to support that growth through reliable and sustainable power.

KE’s industrial feeders serve a wide variety of manufacturing and industrial units stretching across various zones that deploy 100pc smart meters, enabling the businesses to monitor consumption on a real-time basis, he said in a statement.

The highest consumption remained in the B3 category — industries deploying power between 501-5,000 kW, consisting of the cement, steel, and textile sectors among others.
