Industrial computer maker Ubiqconn Technology Inc (攸泰科技) on Tuesday said it expects business to recover in the second half of this year, on improved shipments of maritime products and growing contributions from its new US subsidiary, E3 Displays LLC. Revenue in the first half of this year fell 18 percent from a year earlier to NT$941.71 million (US$29.19 million) due to weak demand in the maritime market and delays to several projects, Ubiqconn spokesman Jason Huang (黃堅真) said in Taipei. Maritime products accounted for the largest share of Ubiqconn’s sales in the first half of this year at 57 percent, he said.

The company has secured five new maritime projects and started small-volume shipments, Huang said. The new projects are expected to contribute low-single-digit revenue growth this year and remain an important source of growth through 2029, he added.
