Net NPAs position too improved to 1.27 per cent of net advances against 5.64 per cent

Suryoday Small Finance Bank (SSFB) reported a robust 113 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) jump in first quarter net profit at ₹75 crore against ₹35 crore in the year ago period on the back of a healthy growth in net interest income and other income and decline in provisions.Net interest income (difference between interest earned and interest expended) rose 28 per cent y-o-y to ₹316 crore ( ₹247 crore).Other income, comprising processing fees, profit on sale of investments(including provision for depreciation), income on dealing in priority sector lending certificate, etc. was up 36 per cent y-o-y to ₹147 crore ( ₹109 crore).Provisions declined 41 per cent y-o-y at ₹37 crore against ₹62 crore in the year ago period.Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) position improved to 6.60 per cent of gross advances as at June-end 2026 against 8.46 per cent as at June-end 2025. Net NPAs position too improved to 1.27 per cent of net advances against 5.64 per cent.Published on July 23, 2026
