Things became rather chaotic during the latest episode of Come Dine With Me as a burnt dish left some guests questioning the host's ability to cook.16:48, 23 Jul 2026One guest was left concerned she may have bitten off more than she could chew on Come Dine With Me.‌The popular Channel 4 show was back in Belfast for episode 4, as five contestants competed to impress one another with their culinary skills and hosting abilities. In the hot seat today (July 23) was Kirsty, who had hoped to win over her guests Andrea, Donna, James and Aodhan and secure the £1,000 cash prize.‌Following Aodhan's gothic-themed dinner party, Kirsty aimed to lighten the mood further by putting on an Ibiza-themed gathering. But although spirits were high, Kirsty's overcooked dish left her feeling rather low.‌As her guests waited for their main course, which was a pasta bake, Kirsty was busy in the kitchen trying her best to plate up her meals. But she was left overwhelmed when she noticed that she accidentally burnt her lactose-free pasta bake.Explaining what happened to viewers at home, she said: "It's just the cheese that has really ruined it. So one batch I'm really happy with, it's really cheesy and great. The other batch got a bit burnt. But yeah, what can you do?"‌Unfortunately for Kirsty, her guests could also sense that something had gone wrong as they could smell the burnt dish from the dining room. Highlighting the discrepancy, Donna said: "I can actually smell something burnt!"Aodhan then asked: "Did you make the pasta?" When Kirsty revealed that she didn't, Aodhan replied: "I didn't either, so I can't say anything!"‌But Andrea was quick to share that she felt more preparation should have gone into the dish, considering the fact that the sauce Kirsty used on the pasta was also shop-bought.Probing her, Andrea admitted she would have loved to see more elevation and not just a standard pasta dish.Article continues belowSharing her experience, Donna later told viewers at home: "The main was OK, there were a few bits burnt on it, yeah. It was feeling a bit crispy, I was a wee bit scared of breaking my tooth. Yeah, it was grand!"Talking about the critiques she received on her food, Kirsty agreed that she was expecting to receive feedback regarding her lack of culinary skills.
