It turns out Stan Cho’s $16,000 wasn’t even the biggest Toronto hotel tab racked up by a GTA-area MPP. According to numbers compiled by the NDP, Brampton’s Hardeep Grewal spent $27,275 of taxpayer money on local rooms since 2023. Two others spent more than $15,000. Where were these people staying, and how often? The Chelsea Hotel is a 10-minute walk from Queen’s Park and I can book a room there this week for under $250.
