Long before the first wall rises or the first tile is laid, Architect Jorge Yulo has already walked through the house hundreds of times.
Not physically, but in his imagination.
He shrinks himself to the scale of his drawings, tracing hallways, turning corners, pausing beneath skylights and watching how morning light settles across a dining table or afternoon shadows soften a living room. He imagines children racing through corridors, families gathering around meals, and elderly parents moving comfortably through familiar spaces.
“When I’m designing,” he says, “I shrink myself to the scale of my drawings. I pretend I’m walking around and looking at the corners and the surfaces.”
