"The Value of a Name Should Not Be Underestimated"
As I read this Editorial piece by the "Samoa Observer Editorial Board" I was so disappointed that some Samoan Matai is in this Editorial Board. And not one of them try to direct the course of this piece from a Negativity point of view to a Positive upliftment for Samoa as a Nation going forward. I will not say a thing about the Chief Editorial as he a Foreign (Fijian Indian). As for the Samoan Matai in this Board, may I humbly remind you that Samoa and its history from 1962 to now have undergone few changes, these are just 3;
1. Changing our Nation name from "Western Samoa to Samoa" by HRPP and Samoa as a whole Support the name change 100%. We as a Nation are now better for it. After all, we are Samoans
2. Changing from driving on the Left side to Right side of the road by HRPP. There were a lot of opinions expressed for & against the Change. However we are still here, nobody died during the implementation of the changes.
3. Changing of the Constitution to insert the "Faavae ile Atua Samoa" by HRPP. Why? and for what purpose as it was already in the framework of the Constitution. Again, the change to the Constitution was passed and in the books.
