MANILA, Philippines — The driver and registered owner of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Laguna were issued a show cause order (SCO) by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the agency said on Wednesday.
The LTO said that a male pedestrian was trying to cross the street when he was suddenly hit by a utility vehicle, which eventually fled the scene last July 7 along National Highway in Barangay Maikling, Calamba, Laguna.
The victim was later brought to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
