Paralign Health Launches Missouri Network to Support Fire Departments and Ambulance Districts Delivering Care in Patients’ Homes
First-of-its-kind network formalizes partnerships between health insurance plans and local fire departments and ambulance districts
Paralign Health has announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind provider network in Missouri that helps local fire departments and ambulance districts partner with health insurance plans to support patients at home through specially trained community paramedics. This care model is often referred to as Mobile Integrated Health–Community Paramedicine.
Paralign's network brings together local fire departments and ambulance districts across Missouri to support patients who face barriers to accessing traditional healthcare services, including transportation challenges, geographic isolation, and chronic health needs.
“Ambulance districts see every day how difficult it can be for some patients to access care,” said Will Railsback, Director of Caldwell County Ambulance District. “Community paramedicine allows us to reach people earlier, in their homes, before a situation becomes an emergency. Formal partnerships with health insurance plans are an important step in making sure this work can continue and grow.”
