Lwanda Zungu has been found guilty of the 2024 murder of his wife.
A former soldier has been convicted of the 2024 murder of his wife by the Pinetown Regional Court.
Lwanda Mxolisi Zungu was found guilty of the murder of his wife, Tania, 36, in their Pinetown home on January 3, 2024. Tania was shot in her head and neck. The couple's two sons and Tania's mother were in the house at the time of the murder.
Magistrate Muntukayise Khumalo this week found that the State proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt and found Zungu guilty of the murder.
“We find, having regard to the evidence in its totality, that the State has succeeded in proving its case against the accused beyond a reasonable doubt,” Khumalo said.
