Immigration lawyer Stefanie de Saude-Darbandi is facing public scrutiny due to her dual role as legal representative for former Miss Universe Nigeria runner-up Chidimma Adetshina and as a member of the Department of Home Affairs' Immigration Advisory Board (IAB).
De Saude-Darbandi has been defending Adetshina against attempts to revoke her identity documents amid ongoing deportation proceedings.
As the deportation proceedings continue, De Saude-Darbandi has spoken out, saying that legal matters should be judged on their own merits.
"Behind every headline is a real person, a real family, and real legal issues that deserve to be heard fairly," she said.
