'Every voice matters': Given Mathabela's emotional plea before daughter's murder case returns to court.
Nearly nine months after the brutal killing of 19-year-old Lusanda Hope Mathabela, her father, Given Mathabela, says the family's determination to see justice served has never wavered.
As the case returns to the Mbombela Magistrate's Court on July 28, the grieving father is calling on the community to stand beside his family and says every show of support honours his daughter's life and strengthens their resolve.
"The fight for justice continues. We invite all members of the community, friends, family, faith leaders, activists, and supporters to stand with us as we appear in court for Lusanda Hope Mathabela," he said.
Mathabela said supporters could stand in solidarity with the family by attending the court proceedings at 9am, wearing purple, sharing Lusanda's story and keeping the family in their prayers as they continue navigating the painful journey through the justice system.
