Sean Fitzpatrick believes the greatest legacy Rassie Erasmus has built with the Springboks is the sheer depth in South African rugby.
"Well, back-to-back World Cups is pretty good. But what he’s really done is create a fiercely competitive environment—you can hear the guys upstairs talking about that,” said the All Black legend.
Under Erasmus, the Springboks captured both the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cup titles. Looking ahead to the next showpiece, South Africa once again find themselves among the heavy favourites to retain the Webb Ellis Cup.
Standing in their way, however, will be their ultimate rivals: the All Blacks, who previously achieved the back-to-back feat in 2011 and 2015.
