The president wants the committee's work suspended pending his review of the Section 89 independent panel report, arguing that allowing the process to continue could cause him irreparable harm.
The urgent application was heard over two days last week before Judges André le Grange, Matthew Francis and Diane Davis, who reserved judgment.
Ramaphosa's review application has been fast-tracked and will be heard from September 2 to 4.
