This is real: The first full trailer for Camp Rock 3 has arrived! In the two-minute preview posted Tuesday (July 21), the Jonas Brothers make a momentous return to their old stomping rounds, this time in search of their next opener.
Dropping less than a month ahead of the film’s premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+, the trailer shows Joe, Nick and Kevin reprising their roles as members of the fictitious rock band Connect 3, emerging from a caravan of fancy cars and earning shocked gasps from the camp’s latest class of young rockers upon their arrival. But instead of coming back to resume their former jobs as camp counselors, the trio reveals that they’re actually there to hunt for the next big thing to join them on the road.
“We figured why not find our opening act right here, right now?” Nick tells the campers at the beginning of summer, after which Joe explains that they’ll have to undergo three challenges before qualifying for the Final Jam, where the winner will be selected.
“As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested — leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances,” a synopsis reads.
