A parked car was destroyed in a fire in the Kypseli district of central Athens after flames from an electric scooter spread to the vehicle.
The fire broke out on Tinou Street, where the scooter and the car were engulfed in flames. Local residents told Greek media they heard a loud bang shortly before the blaze started.
The heat from the fire also caused a tire on another vehicle parked across the street to burst. Firefighters responded and brought the blaze under control. No injuries were reported.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
