South Africa's RMB National Rowing Squad has begun its 2026 international season with encouraging performances at the World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne and the Henley Royal Regatta ahead of the World Championships in Amsterdam.

The RMB National Rowing Squad has made an encouraging start to its 2026 international season after competing at the World Rowing Cup III in Switzerland and the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in England ahead of the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam in September.

The squad's first international campaign under new national coach Andrew Grant saw four South African athletes compete against some of the world's leading rowers across the two regattas.

A member of the RMB National Rowing Squad competed against leading international crews in Switzerland and England as they continue preparations for the World Rowing Championships in September.

At the World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne, held from June 26 to 28, Courtney Westley and Katherine Williams finished eighth overall in the women's pair, Paige Badenhorst placed ninth in the women's single sculls, and Chris Baxter finished 15th in the men's single sculls.
