The trial of alleged contract killing mastermind Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and four co-accused in the Johannesburg High Court.

Judge Cassim Moosa, presiding over the trial of Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and his four co-accused in the Johannesburg High Court, ruled the CCTV footage cannot be used until its authenticity is proven as reported by IOL.
Moosa sustained an objection raised by all five defence teams after state advocate Elize le Roux moved to introduce the footage through her first witness, security guard Bethuel Mzamo Cele, who had just relived the August 2022 shooting at the Centurion Golf Estate in his testimony.
Moosa said the objection was not about the footage itself, but about whether it had been doctored or subjected to artificial intelligence.
