Following Sunday’s World Cup final match, Michelob Ultra released an ad honoring Lionel Messi, the legendary Argentinian forward who completed his sixth World Cup tournament.
Created by Wieden+Kennedy New York, Tab Closed depicts a bartender closing out a tab, with a printed receipt listing Messi's stats throughout his World Cup appearances. The stats take up most of the 60-second runtime, ending with a thank-you note and the slogan, “Superior is worth playing for.”
