TVTV NewsITVA female contestant who appeared on ITV's The 1% Club has opened up about her time on the ITV game show10:29, 21 Jul 2026Updated 10:30, 21 Jul 2026A former contestant who appeared on The 1% Club has spoken out.‌Charlotte Macey has admitted that she left the ITV studio where the popular show is filmed left her with the “biggest headache known to man’‌The programme hosted by Lee Mack, does not use a traditional studio audience, but rather has 100 contestants at the start of the episode with players eliminated throughout the show.‌Contestants are asked to remain on set, even after being knocked out of the competition, staying for the duration of the filming, which can last up to seven to eight hours.Charlotte appeared on the popular show last year and has since has pointed out the one major thing future contests need to be aware of.Taking to TikTok, the 25-year-old contestant said she was left with the “biggest headache” duo to the long filming hour under the bright studio light.‌Opening up about her experience, she explained: “One thing I will say to be aware of is that you’re in that studio for about seven to eight hours, which sounds crazy to film (considering) how long episodes are.She continued: “There is so much stopping and starting so that’s why. One thing I will say is that those lights are bright. I ended up walking away with the biggest headache known to man. In like the seventh hour I was like OK I need to breathe.”‌Charlotte warned: “If you suffer with headaches just be mindful that that’s how it is and it’s very bright in there and there is lots of light and no natural light so be aware of that.The player admitted that despite not making it to the end she was pleased not to get knocked out during the first round.‌She went on to say: “I went out on the 80% question but I did say to myself that I didn’t want to go out on the first question so technically it’s fine.”Charlotte explained: “If you do go out on an earlier question you do obviously sit there for the rest of the show. There is a lot of stopping and starting and you get one toilet break so make sure you don’t drink too much before you start filming."The comment section was flooded with questions from her followers, who were keen to find out more behind the scenes secrets about he show.Article continues belowAs expected one asked if she manged to meet host Lee away from filming. They asked: "Did you mange to gave a photo with Lee?"Charlotte revealed; "Unfortunately not. Completely understand as there's 100 people pre episode so it would be a hell of a lot for him to meet everyone individually..
